The port installations are already working in Koźle, one of the most important river ports on the Oder. The Soviet authorities handed over to Poland tugboats and barges necessary for shipping. On Friday 17 August, the first coal cargo was transported from Koźle to Wrocław. Shipping on the Oder river will make it easier for railway. The complete activation of the ports and floodgates will enable transport of Silesian coal to the port Szczecin.
