People living in the capital welcome the first tram onto Warsaw’s streets with enthusiasm. Although the launch of the city tram network will be in July, an electric railway connecting Warsaw and Grodzisk has already opened. The project will extend the route of the tram from Nowogrodzka street to Grochowska, the intersecting the tram connecting Warsaw and Karczew. This project is set to be completed in the autumn, after the reconstruction of the Poniatowski bridge.
